Does this site make the booking for me?
No. It helps you put together the question (dates, guests, room) and opens it in WhatsApp for you to send. The hostel confirms availability and price; you can also book on Hostelworld.
What time can I arrive and leave?
Check-in is from 1:00 pm per Hostelworld and Booking.com. Check-out differs between platforms (before 12:00 or by 11:00): confirm it when booking. Arriving at night? Send a WhatsApp first.
How do payment and cancellation work?
It depends where you book. On Hostelworld: a deposit when booking, the rest on arrival by cash or card (no Diners), and cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival. On Booking.com, it depends on the rate. This website never charges or confirms anything.
Is breakfast included?
No. Hostelworld mentions breakfast at 8,000 COP per person per day, but another platform says it isn’t offered. Ask whether it’s available during your stay and the current price — the shared kitchen is always an option.
Can I book an A-frame cabin?
Ask on WhatsApp before you book. The hostel presents its cabins as private with a private bathroom, but they aren’t a category of their own on Hostelworld or Booking.com, so we can’t say which booking guarantees one.
Are there pets? Can I bring mine?
Cats and dogs live at the house (you’ll meet them). Bringing your own pet is another matter: Booking.com and Google say pets are allowed on request — confirm, and tell the hostel about yours.
Can I come with children?
Booking.com says children of all ages are welcome, with no extra beds and cots subject to availability. The family rooms are the natural choice. Mind the river: always supervised.
Is there a pool?
Some platforms mention a pool, but the hostel’s own posts show the river. If a pool is key for your trip, confirm before booking.
How do I get here from Santa Marta?
Minca is about 45–60 minutes from Santa Marta. Shared vans and jeeps leave from the Mercado Público area (Cootrasminca office), or take a taxi. In the village, the hostel is at Carrera 4 #1-62, about 400 m from the centre. Check current times and fares before you go.
