Red-roof A-frame cabins

Timber, a red roof and bamboo at the window.

They are Eco Point’s signature. On Instagram the hostel presents them as private cabins with a private bathroom and a view of the Minca river.

Eco Point’s A-frame cabins with red metal roofs and timber fronts, in a tropical garden under tall trees.
The red-roof cabins, with their leafy garden and a colourful mosaic circle.

Inside, you see the whole triangle: timber beams, a rust-red metal roof, plank floors and a glass door opening onto a small wooden balcony facing the bamboo.

Photos of two cabins show double beds with floral throws, a tied-up mosquito net, a wall fan and folded towels on the bed. Outside: a porch with wooden chairs, a wicker lamp and calatheas.

What we don’t know: which platform category they’re sold under, how many are free and whether your booking will land in one. So we never count them as extra rooms. Message the hostel and they’ll tell you if there’s a cabin for your dates.

Questions about this room

Can I book an A-frame cabin?

Ask on WhatsApp before you book. The hostel presents its cabins as private with a private bathroom, but they aren’t a category of their own on Hostelworld or Booking.com, so we can’t say which booking guarantees one.

What kinds of rooms are there?

Hostelworld lists five categories: an 8-bed mixed dorm, a standard double, standard 4- and 5-bed family rooms and a superior 4-bed family room — all with “ensuite” bathrooms. Booking.com shows variants with other bed mixes. The A-frame cabins are part of the hostel, but no platform says which category they’re sold under.

Is there hot water or air conditioning?

We can’t promise either. No platform confirms hot water and some reviews mention cold showers; air conditioning only appears in generic text, while Hostelworld mentions fans. If it matters, ask first.

What time can I arrive and leave?

Check-in is from 1:00 pm per Hostelworld and Booking.com. Check-out differs between platforms (before 12:00 or by 11:00): confirm it when booking. Arriving at night? Send a WhatsApp first.
